Dave Frederickson, Commissioner of Minnesota's Department of Agriculture will welcome attendees, discussing the state’s agricultural power and production and the value of international trade to Minnesota.
 

Keynote Address - Global Market Outlook
Carl Casale, President and Chief Executive Officer for CHS Inc. will provide a big picture outlook on international trade and the resulting implications for domestic production.
 

US/World Coarse Grains Supply and Demand Outlook
Dr. Joe Glauber, Chief Economist at the Department of Agriculture (USDA), will discuss the issues impacting world trade in the short term, including growing competition, co-product evolution, and the 2012 harvest.

Bob Dinneen, President and CEO, Renewable Fuels Association will address what is happening in the U.S. ethanol industry from a public policy standpoint and discuss how that impacts international markets.

DDGS: An Evolving Commodity
Dr. Jerry Shurson, Department of Animal Science, University of Minnesota will discuss how DDGS are changing, how they will continue to evolve in the next 2-3 years and what the implications of those changes are on DDGS use in international feed rations.

DDGS Supply and Demand Outlook
Dr. Bob Wisner, Ag. Extension Economics, Iowa State University will present on the current supply and demand picture for DDGS, how DDGS are currently being used internationally and what current prices tell us about uses and alternatives.

International Perception of US Competitiveness
Three international participants will provide direct insight into why they buy U.S. coarse grains and co-products and specific factors that would increase their interest and willingness to buy more, followed by a response from a domestic panelist.
